One of Upper Milford Township’s most beloved ice cream spots is about to get a new chapter. The Crow’s Nest Creamery, a locally owned, family-operated business, is taking over the former TG Countryside property at 5130 Chestnut St., bringing ice cream back to a corner the community has cherished for generations.
The creamery is the project of two local friends: Stacy Kiefer, a co-owner of the Dent & Detail Shop, and Jessica Bogert, who closed on the property this week. They’re planning a fun, welcoming, year-round destination serving ice cream, specialty drinks, coffee, breakfast items and family-friendly food throughout the day.
The former TG Countryside at 5130 Chestnut St. in Upper Milford Township, the longtime ice cream stop The Crow’s Nest Creamery is taking over.
The location carries real history. The site has been a go-to ice cream stop in Lehigh County for decades, tracing its roots to a 1950s ice cream stand before most recently operating as TG Countryside. After the shop closed and an earlier proposal to convert it into a cigar lounge drew community pushback, the property landed back on the market, according to local reporting, clearing the way for a return to its sweeter purpose.
The owners say they want to preserve that nostalgia while adding something new. Some menu items are being kept under wraps for now, but the focus, they say, is on a unique experience that still feels familiar.
The community response has already been striking. “We knew people loved this place, but we honestly didn’t expect the reaction we got overnight,” the owners said. “Seeing how excited everyone is has made this even more special for us.”
