Inside Easton Public Market: The Food Hall That Changed Downtown

Easton Public Market opened in 2016 at 325 Northampton Street, and downtown Easton has not been the same since. Managed by the Greater Easton Development Partnership, this indoor culinary market brought together 14 vendors under one roof and gave the city a gathering place that feels like the living room of the entire community.

The Vendors

Centre Square Cheese is the kind of shop that turns a casual shopper into a cheese obsessive. Ron and Jennifer Rittenhouse curate a selection of artisan cheeses, gourmet olive oils, charcuterie, Japanese culinary knives, cookbooks, and kitchen linens. Ron is a former professional chef with two decades of experience, and his knowledge elevates every visit.

Chocodiem is where Master Chocolatier Jean-Paul Hepp crafts Belgian tradition chocolates, hot chocolate, macarons, and mousse. Mister Lee's Noodles is the farm to table noodle bar from Lee and Erin Chizmar of Bolete Restaurant, known for their Dirty Noodles with house made noodles, mushroom dashi, chashu, and 60 minute egg. Scratch pairs ShawneeCraft Brewery craft beer with bread and pizza from Apple Ridge Farm. Olive With A Twist offers high end organic olive oils from around the world. Tolino Vineyards has a wine stand where you can grab a glass or take bottles home.

More Than a Market

The Easton Public Market is an outgrowth of the Easton Farmers Market, which has been running since 1752 and is America's longest continuously running open air market. The indoor market extends that tradition year round, rain or shine. The space hosts events, cooking demonstrations, and community gatherings that keep it lively beyond the daily shopping crowd.

A Downtown Anchor

The market sits in the heart of a downtown that has been reborn. The surrounding blocks are filled with galleries, restaurants, and independent shops that have transformed Easton into one of the Lehigh Valley's most exciting destinations. Easton Public Market was the spark that helped make it all happen.
