Crewy Woo: The Mother Daughter Gift Shop With a Family Story on Every Shelf

The name Crewy Woo sounds whimsical, and that is exactly the point. But there is a real story behind it. Ann and Jessica Morrissey, a mother and daughter duo, named their South Bethlehem boutique after a family nickname that goes back generations. When Ann's grandmother Violet Hunsicker was young, she got a perm. Her grandfather thought she looked like Crewy Lou, a character from the Dick Tracy comic strips, and the nickname stuck. The Morrisseys chose it because Violet embodies love and thoughtfulness, two qualities at the heart of giving a great gift.

A Gift Shop With Local Heart

Crewy Woo at 21 East 3rd Street on Bethlehem's South Side is a thoughtfully curated gift boutique that celebrates the Lehigh Valley. You will find 610 area code merchandise, Lehigh University gifts, candles, bag charms, customized stickers, clothing, hats, and children's items through their Crewy Baby and Crewy Kids collections. The shop's logo features a purple flower, a nod to Violet's name, and every detail in the store reflects the family connection that inspired it.

Cafe Crewy

In January 2025, the space next to the boutique was rebranded as Cafe Crewy, creating a combined shop and cafe experience. The cafe serves breakfast sandwiches, smoothies, smoothie bowls, yogurt parfaits, coffee, and oatmeal. The expanded menu was designed to be more inclusive, welcoming families, students from nearby Lehigh University, and anyone looking for a quick bite alongside their shopping. Jessica manages both the boutique and the cafe day to day.

Women Owned, Family Driven

Crewy Woo started as a small passion project between a mother and daughter. It has grown into one of the South Side's most distinctive shops, a place where you can find a birthday gift, a baby shower present, or a piece of Lehigh Valley pride merch all under one roof. The family story is not just marketing. It is woven into every shelf and every curated item. Grandma Violet is very proud.
